The powerCON is a locking 3 conductor equipment AC connector with contacts for line, neutral and pre-mating ground contact. It replaces appliance couplers wherever a very rugged solution in combination with a locking device is needed in order to guarantee a safe power connection.

Attention: The powerCON is a connector without breaking capacity, i.e. the powerCON should not be connected or disconnected under load or live!

The Powercon connector is designed for current up to 20A, offers a secure locking connection, compact design, and meets all current safety standards. This series offers a 3-pole connection including neutral and ground, and a compact design (it shares many of the components of the "Speakon" series of twist-lock speaker connectors, although they are of course completely incompatible!) The secure, cable strain-relief outlet design is designed for 5-15 mm diameter cables, and the locking is on the twist-lock principle (metal latch as with conventional "Speakon" connectors).

The cable connectors have screw terminals (max. conductor size 4 mm), the panel connectors have "Faston" 4.8 × 0.5 mm flat terminals. The NAC3MP panel connectors have standard straight mounting holes and are airtight. The -WOT variants are in a non-split insulated terminal design for use with larger insulated connector terminals.

The series has two variants: the A (in - input) and B (out - output) types. Both are similar but have different color coding to avoid confusion. This means that with the correct cable connectors it is impossible to create a short circuit.

Type A is designed for power supply, and its color coding is blue. Type B is for power outlets, and its color coding is gray.
