Compatibility and Mounting
The SmallRig 2837 Shoulder Pad Pro 2837b is designed for the SONY VCT-14 quick release baseplate and fits cameras via the Manfrotto 501 quick release plate. This design enables users to quickly switch between shoulder-mounted shooting and tripod setups.
Both sides of the shoulder pad feature standard M6 ARRI rosette mounts, allowing installation of original control handles such as those from the SmallRig 1810 or FX9 camera rigs.
Dual Rod System
The front and rear ends of the dual rod system have a standard diameter of 15 mm with a spacing of 60 mm. The front end of the dual rod system allows an upward adjustment of 24 mm, ensuring the lens center distance for cameras like the FX9, FS5, URSA MINI, and CANON C300 is maintained at the standard 85 mm.
To facilitate center of gravity adjustments and the installation of follow focus and matte boxes, the 2837 shoulder pad can be moved forward approximately 80 mm using the built-in Manfrotto 501 quick release plate. The front two rods move together with the quick release plate, eliminating the need to remove accessories such as follow focus or matte boxes during adjustment.

- The shoulder pad uses a new silicone material shaped to conform comfortably to the human shoulder.
