Compatibility and Design
The Metabones Nikon G/F to Micro Four Thirds mount Speed Booster™ adapter is designed exclusively for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC), Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera (BMMCC), and Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K (BMMSC 4K) models equipped with a Micro Four Thirds mount. This 0.58x Speed Booster reduces the crop factor of the BMPCC from 2.88x to 1.75x, enhancing the field of view and light gathering capability. Note that it cannot be attached to standard Micro Four Thirds or BMPCC4K cameras.
Optical Performance
The adapter features the largest aperture optics currently available, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.74. For example, a 50mm f/1.2 lens becomes a 29mm f/0.74 equivalent, and the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 lens becomes a 10.5-20.3mm f/1.0 equivalent, delivering exceptionally sharp performance. Optics are designed by Caldwell Photographic in the USA (patent pending).

Usage Tips and Limitations
Before mounting your lens to the adapter, ensure the aperture ring on the adapter is set to "7" (fully closed aperture) to avoid damage. This adapter provides manual aperture control only and does not support electronic aperture control.

Build Quality and Materials
Both camera-side and lens-side mounts are precision-machined brass with chromium plating, ensuring smooth mounting, durability, and a premium finish. The adapter features a strong leaf-spring structure on the lens side to secure the lens connection, reducing wear and preventing focus errors or optical misalignment. Internal surfaces have a matte-black treatment to minimize reflections and maintain optical quality.
