Compatibility and Purpose
The Azden i-Coustics HX-Mi TRRS Mic/Headphone Cable is designed to connect Azden microphones to mobile devices equipped with a TRRS jack. It enables recording directly to smartphones and tablets from Apple, Samsung, Google, and other Android manufacturers.
Connection Setup
- Plug your Azden microphone into the HX-Mi microphone input (3.5 mm Mini TRS connector).
- Attach the HX-Mi cable to the microphone/headphone combo jack of your mobile device.
- Connect headphones to the HX-Mi headphone output to monitor or playback recordings.
Device Compatibility
- Works with any device featuring a TRRS jack, including the latest smartphones and tablets.
- Compatible with most recording applications that support external microphones.
Compatible Azden Microphones
- Wireless and video microphones with 3.5 mm microphone outputs, including models such as WLX-PRO, WMS-PRO, PRO-XD, 310LT, SGM-990, and SMX-15.
Limitations
- Dual channel wireless systems (e.g., WDM-PRO, WDL-PRO) require mono conversion before connection.
- Stereo microphones are not compatible as the HX-Mi accepts only mono signals.
- Headphones connected to the HX-Mi generally allow playback of recordings but do not provide live microphone monitoring unless the recording app supports monitoring features.
