Recording and Playback
The Shogun Studio II supports independent dual channel recording, allowing simultaneous capture of 4K masters and HD proxies or different codec versions (ProRes and DNxHR). Continuous recording automatically switches between drives when full, ensuring no interruption. Pre-roll recording is supported (8 seconds for HD, 2 seconds for 4K), along with custom timelapse and metadata tagging features.

Display and Monitoring
The dual 7.1-inch SuperAtom IPS touchscreens are factory calibrated to Rec.709 HDTV standard and support 3D LUTs (.cube format). They provide waveform monitoring (Luma Parade, RGB Parade, Vectorscope with zoom), focus peaking in three modes, and 1:1 and 2:1 zoom for critical focus assessment.
HDR Monitoring
AtomHDR technology enables accurate HDR monitoring of Log camera footage (including Sony S-Log2/3, Canon C-Log, Arri Log C, Panasonic V-Log, JVC J-Log, Red LogFilm, FujiFilm F-Log) with support for multiple gamuts such as Sony SGamut, Canon Cinema, BT2020, DCI P3, and Arri Alexa Wide Gamut. The display brightness is 400 nits with 8-bit depth, supporting PQ input and output for post and monitoring workflows.
