Cinema-quality 7K Full Frame Recording
Canon's full-frame CMOS sensor enables stunning 7K recording, dual base ISO (800/6,400), and a dynamic range of more than 15 stops. The camera also captures 32 MP photos at up to 40 fps with an ISO rating of up to 64,000, as well as 4K video with oversampling in rich, natural colors.

The speed, performance, and versatility of the RF mount are available with fixed focal length, zoom, hybrid, and cinema lenses. The RF mount features lenses with first-class optics and enables real-time metadata transfer and fast AF/IS. PL/EF lenses can also be used with a Canon mount adapter.

The camera features extremely responsive Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with improved face, eye, and animal detection and tracking across 100% of the sensor area. The camera offers a variety of recording options scalable 12-bit Cinema RAW Light up to 7K 60p, 4K 120p, and 2K 180p, as well as 4K oversampling 10-bit XF-AVC (MXF) and XF-AVC S/XF-HEVC S (MP4). Card slots for CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD cards enable proxy and multi-format recording for fast, flexible workflows.

The EOS C50 offers a range of professional connectivity options including HDMI, timecode, microphone and headphone jacks, USB-C, and two XLR connectors in the removable handle. Other interesting features include integrated Wi-Fi and USB-C for real-time IP streaming, UVC/UAC output, remote control, and a multi-function accessory shoe for direct power supply to compatible accessories.

The EOS C50 is Canon's lightest and most compact Cinema EOS camera to date. It features a removable handle with XLR connectors, a rotating and swiveling 3-inch touchscreen, active cooling, 14 configurable buttons, zoom rockers, a tally lamp, and multiple accessory mounts—perfect for shooting handheld, with a gimbal, or on a drone.
Designed for Live Action with Multiple Cameras
Hardware controllers such as the RC-IP1000 or the Multi-Camera Control app enable remote control of the camera via the Canon XC protocol. This makes it easy to control multiple cameras in the studio with timecode synchronization and adjust settings and shading for Cinema EOS, PTZ, and XF cameras in real time.
Future-Proof for VFX, Virtual, and VR Workflows
The EOS C50 delivers real-time lens metadata for virtual productions and VFX that is fully compatible with Unreal Engine and After Effects. And with the Canon RF 5.2mm Dual Fisheye lens, you can also use the camera to create stereoscopic 180 VR images.
