Mux/Demux Three 12G Overview

The FieldCast Mux/Demux Three 12G system enables transmission of sixteen independent 12G SDI video channels over a single optical fiber. This solution is ideal for infrastructures limited to a single simplex fiber or for live event setups where minimal cabling is desired. The device multiplexes up to sixteen video channels, maintaining full data integrity so that the output matches the input exactly.

Mux Three 12G Features

  • Multiplexer with 16-channel SDI input to 1-channel optical output
  • Aluminum 1U rack-mount design
  • Utilizes 9/125 single mode fiber optic technology
  • Supports sixteen 12G SDI input channels (11.88 Gbps each), each with loopthrough output
  • 75 ohm BNC connectors for all SDI inputs and loopthrough outputs
  • Compatible with SMPTE standards 259M, 344M, 292M, 424M, ST 2081, and ST 2082
  • Supports SD, HD, and UHD video standards up to 2160p at 60 fps
  • Equipped with one LC single mode (U)PC optical channel (COM) and one LC single mode (U)PC upgrade optical channel (UPG)
  • Front panel features black finish with 2 mm white LED indicators for power, module activity, and input signals
  • Power consumption under 50 W
  • Proprietary hybrid WDM multiplexing technology ensures very low dispersion
