Antistatic Coating for Dust Repellence

HOYA engineers have developed a new ANTISTATIC coating that acts like a force field around the filter to repel dust. This feature is ideal for environments where dust is common, reducing the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance compared to traditional filters.

Water Repellent and Stain Resistant Surface

The hardened, antistatic top-layer is water repellent and stain resistant, allowing water to bead up and wipe away easily. Fingerprints and smudges can be cleaned effortlessly, maintaining clarity and cleanliness of the filter surface.

Circular Polarizing Filter Functionality

Circular polarizing filters enable photographers to achieve creative, in-camera effects that cannot be replicated post-capture. By filtering out unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, as well as light reflecting off moisture and atmospheric pollution, the filter enhances image quality. Rotating the ultra-smooth filter allows precise control over the amount of polarization, resulting in bluer skies, greener foliage, reduced or eliminated reflections, and improved image clarity.

High-Quality Optical Glass and Coating

The FUSION ANTISTATIC NEXT professional filters are manufactured in Japan using hand-selected silicates that are carefully smelted and blended to produce high-performance optical glass. HOYA applies an improved 18-layer Super Multi-Coating on both sides of the glass, significantly reducing or eliminating surface reflections and ensuring very high light transmission. This coating maintains accurate color balance, contrast, and clarity beyond the polarizing effect.

Low-Profile Aluminum Frame Design

The filter is housed in a lightweight, two-piece, very low-profile aluminum frame. This slim design prevents vignetting when used with ultra-wide-angle lenses and includes front filter threads for additional accessory attachment.
