Antistatic Coating for Dust Repellence

HOYA engineers have developed a new ANTISTATIC coating that acts like a force field around the filter to repel dust. This makes the filter ideal for dusty environments, requiring less frequent cleaning and maintenance compared to traditional filters.

The hardened, antistatic top-layer is also water repellent and stain resistant, allowing easy cleaning of smudges or fingerprints.

Circular Polarizing Filter Functionality

Circular polarizing filters enable photographers to achieve creative, in-camera effects not possible after image capture. The filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, as well as light reflecting off moisture and pollution in the atmosphere.

By rotating the ultra-smooth filter, you can select the precise amount of filtration needed to achieve effects like bluer skies, greener leaves, reduced or eliminated reflections, and enhanced image clarity.

High-Quality Optical Glass and Coating

The FUSION ANTISTATIC NEXT professional filters are made in Japan using hand-selected silicates carefully smelted and blended to produce high-performance optical glass.

HOYA applies an improved 18-layer Super Multi-Coating on both sides of the glass, greatly reducing or eliminating surface reflections and ensuring very high light transmission rates. This maintains color balance, contrast, and clarity of the final image beyond the polarizing effect.

Filter Frame Design

The filter features a lightweight, two-piece, very low-profile aluminum frame that houses the glass. The slim frame design eliminates vignetting when used on ultra-wide-angle lenses.
