Designed for outdoor shooting, the ultra-high brightness of 3000 nits ensures the screen remains clearly visible without the need for a sunshade.

Ambient Light Sensor for Auto Dimming

The built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness to suit varying lighting conditions, from dim studios to bright sunlight.

Full Touch Screen Interface

The responsive touch screen allows intuitive tap and swipe gestures to access important monitoring functions without physical buttons, improving operational efficiency.

Touch Screen Operation Instructions

1. Double-tap the screen to enter the main menu when both monitor and touch are on.
2. Swipe up from the bottom to open the shortcut menu; tap to open or set functions. Double-tap a shortcut to adjust settings with "<" or ">" keys.
3. Adjust brightness by swiping on the left half of the screen; adjust volume on the right half.
4. Tap outside the menu to exit.

Built-in Cooling System

The monitor features a heat-conducting unit, low-consumption fan, and multidimensional cooling holes for effective heat dissipation.

Innovative External Install and Power Design

The Sony F970 external install and power kit on the back allows mounting and powering of external devices such as wireless transmitters, LED lights, and video converters. The kit features adjustable cross slots for positioning and can be removed when not needed, simplifying equipment setup and reducing weight.

4K HDMI Input and Output

Supports 4K30Hz HDMI input and output for lossless transmission and clear display.

DC Power Supply for Cameras

Equipped with DC IN 12V and DC OUT 8V, the LUT5 can power DSLR or mirrorless cameras via optional battery adapter cables compatible with Sony NP-FW50, Canon LP-E6, Panasonic DMW-BLF19, and others. Using a large-capacity fully charged battery is recommended for normal camera operation.

Flexible Power Supply

The monitor includes a battery slot compatible with Sony NP-F series batteries (F970, F960, F950, F930, F770, F750, F730, F570, F550, F530). Due to the high brightness, power consumption is greater than standard monitors; using the Sony F970 (7.4V 6600mAh) battery provides approximately 2.5 hours of operation. Battery life varies with capacity.

Advanced Monitoring Tools

The flexible OS includes waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, histogram, audio phase and level displays, focus peaking, zoom, zebra, false color, safe frames, and more. It supports built-in LOG to Rec.709 LUTs and user-uploaded .cube files, as well as anamorphic de-squeeze monitoring.

Custom 3D LUT Loading

Supports loading up to 50 custom LUTs via SD card, allowing preview of filming looks on set to optimize workflow and maintain creative intent.

HDR Monitoring

Built-in HLG 2020, HLG 709, HLG P3 HDR 3D LUTs, and Rec709 De-slog3 LUTs (including SLOG2, SLOG3, LOGC, VLOG) enable HDR signal display for enhanced clarity and detail, simplifying post-production.

Accurate Waveform Monitoring

Includes broadcast-accurate waveform monitoring tools such as RGB Parade, YUV Parade, vectorscope, histogram, and audio level displays. Functions can be opened individually or all at once, eliminating the need for separate expensive scopes.

Multiple Mounting Options

Equipped with two standard 1/4" mounting threads (bottom and right side) for easy attachment to cameras or other equipment using magic arms or brackets, supporting both horizontal and vertical shooting.

Mini Hot Shoe Mount Adapter

Includes a mini hot shoe mount with 180° viewing angle on top and 360° rotation at the base, allowing quick release and attachment of the monitor, LED lights, microphones, or flashes.
