Overview

Prepared according to the original Agfa Rodinal formula, which has been tested and proven for over a hundred years, it is one of the oldest and most versatile developers ever produced, used and recognized worldwide with one of the broadest collections during development.

Concentration and Dilution

The concentrated solution can be diluted to suit any type of negative, allowing for the production of a large number of negatives with excellent sharpness, good contrast control, and fine grain quality.

The concentrated solution has virtually unlimited shelf life if unopened, and a very long shelf life even when opened.

Preparation

The concentrated solution must be diluted with water just before use. Please use graduated measuring cups. This is a One Shot solution, which means that the diluted solution should not be reused. Dispose of it after use. Prepare the required solution with running water.

Recommended Dilution

• 1+25: 1 part concentrated solution + 25 parts water.
• 1+50: 1 part concentrated solution + 50 parts water.

Instructions

• TEMPERATURE: The water temperature before adding to the developer should be 20C.
• AGITATION: For manual development in a tank, agitate continuously for the first minute, then agitate for 5 seconds every 30 seconds.
• TIME: Check the recommended development times indicated on the data sheet. Avoid development processes that last less than 4 minutes.
• SUBSTANCE: Approximately 20-40 rolls of 35 mm or 120 film with 200 ml of concentrated solution (depending on the dilution used).
• STORAGE: The concentrated solution has no documented expiration date as of today. The working solution, as mentioned, must be disposed of after use.
