Construction and Materials

This 40" (101.6 cm) extension grip arm is constructed from steel tubing with a diameter of 5/8" (16 mm). The tubing surface is meticulously machined to create a rough texture, providing a non-slip grip for secure handling.

Grip Head Design

The grip arm features a 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) grip head mounted at the end, consisting of a pair of rotating aluminum discs attached to a 5/8" (16 mm) receiver. These discs incorporate four different sized "V" shaped jaws designed to accept accessories or fixtures with mounting studs or tubing of 5/8", 1/2", 3/8", or 1/4" diameters.

The "V" shaped jaws are equipped with teeth that securely grip mounted items between the plates, preventing rotation due to a set-screw locking onto one of the hex pin's flat sides.

Ergonomics and Durability

The grip head includes an oversized ergonomic "T" handle and dedicated roller bearings engineered for maximum torque application. It utilizes a non-slip aluminum friction disc that maintains durability over time, providing positive locking strength and precise control.

Internally, the grip head is constructed around a solid steel central stift with a fixed solid pin securing it to the aluminum casting, enhancing strength and durability.

Functionality

• Enables mounting of light fixtures or accessories on the end of the grip arm, functioning like a mini boom.
