Built around a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor with a powerful DIGIC X image processor, the R6 V captures exceptionally sharp, low-noise imagery in a wide variety of high-quality video formats. The sensor's 6960 x 4640 resolution allows for 7K raw video recording, as well as 7K oversampling for 4K video with superior detail and color reproduction. Effective across a spectrum of different lighting scenarios, the R6 V has a native ISO range of 100 to 64,000 that is extendable to 50 to 102,400, with 15+ stops of dynamic range in Canon Log 2.

With an expansive array of video resolutions and formats, the R6 V maximizes flexibility in post-production. Internal 7K30 open gate RAW and 7K60 RAW Light recording formats provide deep 12-bit color and razor-sharp detail, permitting advanced color grading and precise cropping in post without sacrificing quality. Custom Picture can be activated using the dedicated color button, allowing direct access to Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, Canon 709, BT.709, and 14 additional user-assignable profiles. High frame rates up to 4K120 and 2K180 deliver striking slow motion, expanding creative possibilities and enhancing footage of fast-moving subjects.

Ideal for solo videographers, filmmakers, and photographers that require hybrid versatility, the R6 V retains many of the still-image-capturing abilities of its photo-focused counterpart, the R6 Mark III. Its electronic shutter allows for continuous shooting at up to 40 fps and features a Pre-Continuous Shooting mode that captures an additional 20 frames prior to the shutter button being fully pressed.

Carried over from the EOS R6 Mark III, the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system is a rapid, responsive, and precise focusing system for both stills and video. Engineered to recognize people, animals, vehicles, and more, this intelligent phase-detection system locks onto subjects and tracks them during movement. Advanced functions such as Register People Priority allow specific prioritization of subjects for unmatched accuracy.

Featuring Coordinated Image Stabilization, the R6 V combines its In-Body Image Stabilizer (IBIS) with optical IS in compatible Canon RF and RF-S lenses, creating a multifaceted stabilization system that corrects up to 7.5 stops of camera shake at the image center for smooth video and sharp stills. In addition to sensor-shift IS, the R6 V offers Movie Digital IS, a five-axis digital image stabilization function that moves the captured image across the CMOS imaging sensor to keep footage steady in highly unstable shooting scenarios.

The R6 V features extensive wired and wireless connectivity options, including dual memory card slots, a USB-C port, and a full-size HDMI that supports 7K ProRes RAW external recording to compatible Atomos Ninja monitor/recorders.

A fast, lightweight power zoom lens, the Canon RF 20-50mm f/4 L IS USM PZ Lens is designed for content creation where it delivers exceptional video performance with the option to choose between power zoom and manual zoom. Fully compatible with any RF-mount body, the lens has a fast f/4 maximum aperture, six stops of optical image stabilization, and a nano USM focusing motor to deliver optimal results no matter the subject.

Focus breathing is extremely controlled for optimal video performance. The lens element features a fluorine coating and the lens body is dust and weather resistant with an internal zoom for use in any environment. Three aspherical and three UD elements work together to render a sharp, distortion-free image throughout the zoom range.

The incorporated wide-to-tele rocker power zoom is powered by dual nano USM motors. Control the zoom speed in the R6 V camera's menu with separate controls for barrel speed and level speed, as well as for standby speed and recording speed. When zooming, the center of gravity shifts minimally, making it ideal for use with gimbals. A separately available BR-E2 Bluetooth remote can be purchased to enable remote zoom control.
