The Samyang 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS lens is a wide-angle prime lens designed for APS-C and CS format cameras, offering an exceptionally wide field of view of up to 109.5 degrees with rectilinear image mapping. It features a fast maximum aperture of f/2.8, enabling effective use in low light conditions, making it suitable for indoor, architectural, landscape, sports, and photojournalism photography.
The lens construction includes 14 optical elements arranged in 10 groups, incorporating 2 aspherical (AS) lenses and 1 extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element to minimize aberrations and enhance image quality. The lens also integrates an embedded lens hood to reduce size and weight by approximately 160 grams (applicable to Canon EF mount version).
Nano Coating System (NCS)
This lens is the first from Samyang to feature the Nano Coating System, a nano crystal anti-reflection coating technology. NCS provides a lower reflection factor compared to traditional (U)MC coatings by applying a more uniform coating layer on the lens surface. This results in improved light transmission, increased resistance to reflections, higher contrast, and superior optical resolution.
