Floating focus and high positioning precision enable a minimum focus distance of just 0.98 meters with up to 0.35x magnification. This provides a versatile 100mm to 400mm super-telephoto zoom range plus excellent close-up performance at 100mm.
Teleconverters for Extra Reach
The SEL100400GM is fully compatible with Sony's SEL14TC (1.4x) and SEL20TC (2x) teleconverters, extending the maximum focal length to 560mm or 800mm respectively (equivalent to 840mm and 1200mm on APS-C format bodies).
