The lens features a robust metal barrel construction with weather sealing to protect against dust and moisture. It includes a wide, smooth manual focus ring and a rear holder for thin gelatin filters.
The optical design comprises 14 elements in 10 groups, incorporating 3 High Refractive (HR) glass elements and 2 aspheric elements to deliver high sharpness and resolution across the frame. Additionally, 2 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements minimize chromatic aberrations.
A fixed lens hood and Samyang's multi-layer Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) reduce reflections and stray light, ensuring maximum contrast in images.
Note: This lens lacks electronic contacts and a CPU; aperture is controlled manually via a mechanical ring with full stop markings.
