The Kowa TSN-66A Prominar is a compact, lightweight spotting scope designed for nature observation and outdoor activities. It features a 66 mm large fluorite crystal objective lens, providing superior light transmission and natural color reproduction across the entire visible spectrum. The scope's body is made from 100% magnesium alloy, making it strong, lightweight, and portable, weighing only 1500 g with a length of 365 mm including the eyepiece.

Mechanical Features
- Dual focus mechanism: quick focus allows focusing from infinity to 5 meters in two revolutions; fine focus provides precise control for razor-sharp images, especially useful at high magnifications and for digiscoping.
- Fully waterproof and nitrogen-filled body ensures reliable performance in harsh weather conditions.
- 72 mm filter thread on the objective lens allows attachment of protective or UV filters without removing the sunshade.

Compatibility and Accessories
The TSN-66A body requires a separate eyepiece, compatible with Kowa's TE-11WZ II zoom eyepiece (25-60x magnification) or TE-80XW fixed wide-angle eyepiece (35x magnification, 80° field of view). Both eyepieces are waterproof and feature a three-position twist-up eyepiece ring for comfortable viewing with or without glasses.

- Extender TSN-EX16: Increases magnification by 1.6x, enabling up to 96x magnification with the TE-11WZ eyepiece.
