Manual Focus Fisheye Cine Lens
The Samyang 12mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS NCS Fish-Eye is a manual focus cine lens designed for full-frame sensor cameras. It offers a 180° angle of view with a 12mm focal length, making it ideal for creative fisheye effects in cinematography.
VDSLR Cine Lens Features
This lens features T-number markings for precise exposure control during video recording. It includes a focus gear ring compatible with follow focus systems and an uncoupled aperture gear ring for smooth, silent aperture adjustments. Distance scales and T-number markings are present on both sides of the lens for convenience during filming.
Optical Construction
The lens consists of 12 elements in 8 groups, including 2 glass aspherical lenses and 3 extra low dispersion elements to ensure high resolution and minimal chromatic aberration. The Nano Coating System (NCS) optimizes light transmission and minimizes flare and ghosting. The minimum focusing distance is 0.2 meters, allowing close-up shots with a stereographic projection design that delivers soft and stabilized fisheye distortion.
