The Sony ECM-GZ1M Zoom Microphone is a monaural on-camera microphone designed for Sony cameras and camcorders equipped with the proprietary Multi-Interface Shoe. It helps isolate the desired sound from the subject while minimizing ambient noise.

Microphone Modes

• Gun Mode: Locks the microphone in a fixed shotgun pick-up pattern.
• Zoom Mode: Dynamically adjusts the pick-up pattern based on the zoom level of the camera lens, narrowing the pick-up angle as you zoom in. Requires a camera or camcorder with a zoom lens.
