UV Filter Functionality

The UV filter is a clear, general-use filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light without adding coloration or contrast, allowing it to be paired seamlessly with other filters. It also serves as a protective barrier for lenses, reducing dust and moisture exposure and safeguarding against scratches and impacts.

Antistatic Coating Technology

Hoya's newly developed Antistatic coating acts like a force field around the filter, repelling dust and minimizing the need for frequent cleaning. This coating is water repellent, stain resistant, and scratch resistant, ensuring easy cleaning of smudges and fingerprints.

Optical Quality and Construction

The Fusion Antistatic filters are crafted in Japan from hand-selected silicates, carefully smelted and blended to produce high-performance optical glass. An improved 9-layer Super Multi-coating significantly reduces reflections, resulting in ultra-clear glass with a high transmission rate. This ensures the filter does not affect color balance, contrast, or image clarity.

Filter Frame Design

The filter features a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminum frame that maintains perfect parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness. Its slim design prevents vignetting on ultra-wide-angle lenses and includes front filter threads for additional filter stacking.
