The UV filter is a general-use, clear filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light without adding coloration or contrast, allowing it to be paired seamlessly with other filters. It also serves as a protective filter to keep lenses safe from dust, moisture, scratches, and minor impacts.
Antistatic Coating
Hoya's newly developed Antistatic coating acts like a force field around the filter, repelling dust and reducing the need for frequent cleaning. This coating is water repellent, stain resistant, scratch resistant, and allows smudges or fingerprints to be wiped away easily.
Optical Quality
Manufactured in Japan, the filter uses hand-selected silicates carefully smelted and blended to produce high-performance optical glass. It features an improved 9-layer Super Multi-coating that greatly reduces reflections and ensures ultra-clear, high transmission with virtually no effect on color balance, contrast, or image clarity.
