UV Filter Functionality

The UV filter is a general-use, clear filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light without adding coloration or contrast, allowing it to be paired with other filters. It also serves as a protective filter to keep lenses safe from dust, moisture, scratches, and minor impacts.

Antistatic Coating

Hoya's newly developed Antistatic coating acts like a force field to repel dust, making it ideal for dusty environments and reducing the need for frequent cleaning. The hardened antistatic top-layer is water repellent, stain resistant, scratch resistant, and easy to clean from smudges or fingerprints.

Optical Quality

The Fusion Antistatic filters are made in Japan from hand-selected silicates, carefully smelted and blended to produce high-performance optical glass. An improved 9-layer Super Multi-coating greatly reduces reflections, ensuring ultra-clear, high transmission with virtually no effect on color balance, contrast, or image clarity.

Filter Frame Design

The filter features a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminum frame that maintains perfect parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness. The slim design eliminates vignetting on ultra-wide-angle lenses and includes front filter threads for additional filter stacking.
