Antistatic Coating
Hoya's newly developed Antistatic coating acts like a force field around the filter to repel dust, making it ideal for dusty environments. This coating reduces the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance compared to traditional filters. The hardened antistatic top-layer is water repellent, stain resistant, scratch resistant, and easy to clean from smudges or fingerprints.
Optical Quality
The Fusion Antistatic professional filters are made in Japan using hand-selected silicates carefully smelted and blended to produce high-performance optical glass. Hoya applies an improved 9-layer Super Multi-coating formula that greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the glass surface, resulting in ultra-clear, high transmission. This ensures virtually no effect on color balance, contrast, or image clarity.
Design and Build
The filter features a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminum frame that maintains perfect parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness. The slim design eliminates vignetting when used on ultra-wide-angle lenses. The frame includes front filter threads for easy attachment of additional filters or lens caps.
