The Universal Videohub 72 Mainframe is a 5RU high, 6-inch deep rack frame designed to build a fully customizable 72 x 72 SDI router. It supports a mix of SDI interface cards, crosspoint cards, and power supply cards, allowing tailored configurations to suit specific broadcast and production needs.

Scalability and Compatibility
The Universal Videohub 72 is a scalable 3G/HD/SD and deck control routing switcher. It supports both copper SDI and optical fiber SDI interface cards, enabling configurations up to 72 x 72 SDI size. When upgrading, all interface cards, crosspoint, and power supply cards can be transferred to the larger Universal Videohub 288 chassis.

- Universal Videohub SDI Interface: Provides 4 SDI inputs, 4 SDI outputs, and 4 deck control ports with full re-clocking and auto switching for SD, HD, and 3 Gb/s SDI.
- Universal Videohub Optical Interface: Offers 4 optical inputs and outputs with deck control, re-clocking, and support for SD, HD, and 3 Gb/s SDI over distances up to 25 km using 1310 nm laser drivers and receivers.
- Universal Videohub 300W Power Card: Allows connection of up to three external 12 V power supply units for scalable power needs.
- Universal Videohub Remote Cable: Adds four independent remote control ports to SDI or optical fiber interfaces for remote operation.
