Technical Details

The set includes three extension tubes with lengths of 13mm, 20mm, and 31mm. These can be used separately or stacked to increase magnification. The magnification factor with an extension tube is calculated as:

Maximum magnification = lens magnification factor + (extension tube length in mm / lens focal length in mm)

For example, with an 85mm lens having a base magnification of 0.13:

• Using the 13mm tube: 0.13 + (13 / 85) = 0.28
• Using the 20mm tube: 0.13 + (20 / 85) = 0.37
• Using the 31mm tube: 0.13 + (31 / 85) = 0.49
• Using all three tubes combined (64mm total): 0.13 + (64 / 85) = 0.88

Note: Using all three tubes stacked results in approximately 2 stops of light loss.
