The Samyang 12mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS NCS Fish-eye is a manual focus fisheye cine lens designed for full-frame sensor sizes, optimized for video production.
VDSLR Cine Lens Features
This lens features T-number markings for precise exposure control during video work. It includes a focus gear ring compatible with follow focus systems and uncoupled aperture gear rings allowing quiet and smooth aperture adjustments. Distance scale and T-number markings are present on both sides of the lens for convenience.
Optical Features
The lens consists of 12 elements in 8 groups, including 2 glass aspherical lenses and 3 extra low dispersion lenses, delivering high resolution and minimized chromatic aberration. The Nano Coating System (NCS) optimizes light transmission and reduces flare and ghosting. It offers a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 meters, enabling close-up filming. The stereoscopic projection optical design provides a soft and stabilized fisheye distortion effect.
Hardware Features
The aperture consists of 7 blades designed to form an almost circular shape when stopped down, producing clear and beautiful star-shaped bokeh. The lens body is constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy, ensuring durability and reliability. A detachable petal-shaped lens hood helps minimize flare and ghosting by shielding the lens from stray light.
