Professional Ultra HD Broadcast Monitor
The Blackmagic SmartView 4K is a professional Ultra HD broadcast monitor featuring a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It offers a bright 15.6 inch TFT active matrix LCD screen with a wide viewing angle and advanced broadcast features including 3D LUTs, adjustable on-screen markers, horizontal/vertical (H/V) delay, blue only mode, and more.
Multi-Rate 12G-SDI Inputs
SmartView 4K supports multi-rate 12G-SDI inputs that automatically switch between SD, HD, 3G, 6G, and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60. This future-proof design enables full resolution Ultra HD high frame rate support within a thin, attractive rack mount chassis.
Teranex Processing Algorithms
When monitoring SD, 720 HD, or 1080 HD SDI sources, the built-in Teranex processor uses patented PixelMotion™ algorithms to automatically de-interlace and scale video to the native Ultra HD resolution of the LCD. This ensures artifact-free, visually transparent scaling and a smooth viewing experience.
Advanced Broadcast Features
- Built-in 3D LUTs for color grading and calibration.
- Adjustable on-screen markers for framing and safe areas.
- H/V delay feature to view data and signals in horizontal and vertical blanking intervals, such as embedded audio, subtitles, and VITC.
- Blue only mode for checking hue and image noise.
Design and Mounting
The 6 rack unit machined metal design includes a built-in control panel and a metal internal chassis with VESA mounting points on the rear. This allows installation in equipment racks, on articulated monitor arms, walls, or other non-rack locations such as newsrooms.

Remote Control and Software
Control the monitor via the front panel or remotely through the Ethernet connection using included Mac and Windows software. The dual 3D LUTs can be toggled on/off with a button press. The DC power input supports V-Lock battery packs for extended use without AC power.
