The Blackmagic Design Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12x12 is a compact 1 rack unit video router supporting 6G-SDI technology for SD, HD, and Ultra HD video routing. It features full re-synchronization on every input, enabling clean, glitch-free switching between non-synchronized router crosspoints. This allows connection of a wide range of equipment from high-end broadcast decks to consumer-grade video devices without signal artifacts such as picture rolls or glitches.
Applications
Ideal for on-air production environments, especially in remote trucks for breaking news, the CleanSwitch 12x12 ensures professional quality, perfectly synchronized video feeds even from unknown or unsynchronized sources. It is also suitable for video walls, live performance projections, and A/V setups in hotels and conference centers, where it automatically synchronizes unsynchronized signals from various devices like computers, cameras, and disk recorders.
Visual Routing and Control
The front panel features Blackmagic Design's unique Visual Routing system, combining a spin knob and button entry with a high-resolution LCD screen that displays custom router labels over live video from inputs. This allows users to route video by visually selecting the desired input on the LCD. The router includes 12 crosspoint buttons for direct selection, take and clear buttons for confirming selections before going live, and a built-in control panel with 6 buttons and a scroll wheel for menu navigation.
