Design and Protection

The SmallRig “Black Mamba” Cage 4003 is specifically designed for the Canon EOS R7 camera to provide robust protection and multiple mounting points for accessories. It secures the camera using one 1/4"-20 screw at the bottom and side lock adapters on both sides. Silicone cushions are integrated to prevent scratching, while the cage’s “Black Mamba” style ensures full access to all camera controls.

Mounting Options and Compatibility

• 1/4"-20 threaded holes and ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes compatible with various accessories such as Side Handles (models 2093 and 3814), Top Handles (3786 and 3765), Magic Arm 2070, Monitor Mount 2903, Portable Power Bank Holder 2336, and Rod Clamp 3598.
• Cold shoe mounts for attaching microphones and LED lights.
• NATO rails compatible with Side Handles 3260 and 3813.
• Strap slots designed for Hand Strap 3848 and Camera Shoulder Strap PSC2428.

Quick Release and Strap System

The cage features an Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the bottom, supporting DJI RS 2 and RSC 2 stabilizers as well as Arca-Swiss tripods. This allows for quick switching between handheld, stabilizer, and tripod shooting setups. Additionally, a built-in quick disconnect (QD) socket on the bottom enables attachment of a quick disconnect strap system for convenience.
