Compact and Flexible Design

Small enough to be hidden in cable ducts or behind equipment, Teranex Mini can also be placed on desktops or rack mounted. Unlike regular mini converters, it includes full-size professional XLR audio connections and an ethernet port for remote administration. Mini switches allow instant setting changes, and an optional front panel provides video monitoring.

Rack Mountable

Teranex Mini is the world's first 12G-SDI rack mount converter. Multiple units can be combined in racks and removed for standalone use. Built-in AC power and ethernet eliminate single points of failure. Settings can be changed from the front panel or remotely over ethernet. The compact size allows mounting at the front or rear of racks or road cases.

Advanced 12G-SDI Technology

Features multi-rate 12G-SDI technology, eight times faster than HD-SDI, automatically detecting and switching between SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats. Supports high frame rate Ultra HD up to 2160p60 on a single BNC cable, ideal for fast-moving sports and action programming.

Smart Thermal Design

Innovative crossflow cooling with an internal heat pipe keeps the unit cool and quiet, even when rack mounted side by side. Overheat notifications are sent via ethernet and displayed on the front panel. Units work together to pull air through racks, providing cooling redundancy.

Teranex Mini Smart Panel (Optional)

The Smart Panel adds an LCD screen to monitor video output, push buttons, and an on-screen menu for quick setting adjustments. Useful in the field, on set, or in racks with multiple converters.

Audio Quality

XLR connections can switch between balanced analog and AES/EBU digital audio, allowing integration with professional analog or digital audio equipment. Analog audio features an extremely low noise floor below -115 dBFS for near-silent background noise.

Control and Management

Settings can be changed via built-in mini switches, USB, Ethernet, or the optional Smart Panel. Remote management is possible using included Converter Utility software on Mac or Windows.

Image Processing and Signal Quality

Utilizes patented Teranex image processing technology for broadcast and post-production quality. Provides full SDI re-clocking and low jitter for longer cable runs. Supports 12-bit video processing with automatic upscaling or downscaling when converting Ultra HD to analog HD.
