The Meike Extension Tube Set Eco for Nikon consists of three extension tubes designed to enhance the macro photography capabilities of compatible lenses without compromising image quality. Macro Photography Enhancement

This set includes three hollow spacer rings that fit between the camera body and lens, allowing closer focusing distances and larger subject magnification. Since the tubes contain no optical elements, they do not degrade lens quality. They are especially effective with telephoto lenses. All automatic camera functions remain operational. The tubes can be used individually or combined to increase magnification progressively.

Working Principle

Extension tubes increase the distance between the camera's image sensor and the rear element of the lens, reducing the minimum focusing distance and increasing magnification. The maximum magnification with an extension tube is calculated as:

Maximum magnification = lens magnification factor + (tube length in mm / lens focal length in mm)

Example Calculations with an 85mm Lens (magnification factor 0.13):

• With 12mm tube: 0.13 + (12 / 85) = 0.27
• With 20mm tube: 0.13 + (20 / 85) = 0.37
• With 36mm tube: 0.13 + (36 / 85) = 0.55
• With all three tubes combined (68mm): 0.13 + (68 / 85) = 0.93

Note: Using all three tubes stacked results in approximately 2 stops of light loss.
