Byomic Study Microscope BYO-10

General Description

The Byomic Study Microscope BYO-10 is a biological microscope designed especially for novice users. It features a translucent body and comes equipped with a wide-angle 10x eyepiece. The revolving nosepiece holds three achromatic objectives with magnifications of 4x, 10x, and 40x, allowing a maximum magnification of 400x. The objectives are interchangeable, enabling other magnifications to be achieved.

Body

The BYO-10 has a sturdy metal housing with an integrated specimen stage measuring 90 by 70 mm. The stage includes two robust clamps to securely hold specimens in place during observation, preventing any movement.

Illumination

This microscope is equipped with a 42 mm plano-concave mirror that allows use in various lighting conditions. One side of the mirror is flat for illuminating the specimen with reflected light, while the concave side reduces the field of view for more detailed observation.

Below the stage, there is a rotating diaphragm wheel with six different aperture sizes to control the amount of light passing through the specimen.

Focusing

The focus wheel adjusts the distance between the objective lens and the stage, enabling sharp, clear viewing of the specimen at the correct focal distance.

Applications

The Byomic Study Microscope BYO-10 is suitable for examining bacteria and parasites in fish and manure, as well as for analyzing blood and urine samples. It is an excellent choice for educational and basic laboratory use.

Eyepieces and Magnification

The standard eyepiece diameter is 23 mm, and different eyepieces can be used to achieve various magnifications. The following table summarizes the magnifications possible with different eyepieces combined with the three objectives:
