The Metabones Olympus OM to Micro Four Thirds Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x (Black Matt) adapter allows Olympus OM lenses to be mounted on Micro Four Thirds (MFT/M43) cameras while increasing the maximum aperture by one stop and improving overall optical performance. Featuring a 5-element/4-group design with ultra-high index tantalum-based glass, it reduces the crop factor from 1.5 to 1.07, delivering sharper corners, reduced distortion, and minimized vignetting.

Design and Features

This ULTRA design incorporates a revolutionary 5-element/4-group optical layout using ultra-high index tantalum-based glass, designed by Caldwell Photographic in the USA (patent granted). It transforms professional zoom lenses such as the 24-70mm f/2.8 or 70-200mm f/2.8 into faster, wider equivalents, while high-speed primes like the 50mm f/1.2 become 35.5mm f/0.9 lenses, maintaining excellent contrast and resolution from center to edge.

Compatibility and Mounting

The precision-machined adapter includes a detachable tripod foot compatible with Arca Swiss, Markins, and Photo Clam ball heads, providing stable support for both photography and video. It is fully compatible with DX-sized mirrorless sensors, making it ideal for Micro Four Thirds systems.
