Consistent T-Stop Aperture
The 50 mm lens features a maximum aperture of T1.9, ensuring consistent light transmission and exposure control, enabling soft bokeh and effective background separation.
Large Image Circle
With a 46 mm image circle diameter, the lens supports full-frame and large-format sensors, providing broad compatibility and high image quality.
Mount Compatibility and Optical Performance
This lens is available in Panasonic/Leica L mount, offering exceptionally low chromatic aberration and excellent micro-contrast control for fine detail resolution.
Minimized Focus Breathing
The Athena Prime 50 mm lens is engineered to minimize focus breathing, maintaining a stable field of view when focusing from minimum distance to infinity, regardless of aperture.
Patented Rear Filter System
The lens includes a Drop-In filter mount system for enhanced creative control. For L-mount, a transparent Drop-In filter is required to achieve infinity focus and sharp images. Weather protection is also available for the Drop-In filter.
Uniform Weight and Handling
It shares a similar weight and 77 mm filter thread size with other Athena Prime lenses, facilitating easy lens changes without rebalancing gimbals. Aperture and focus rings are standardized across the series.
Focus Rotation and Markings
The lens offers a 300° focus rotation with fluorescent focus scales marked in both imperial and metric units for precise manual focusing.
Compatibility and Accessories
Standard 0.8 mod focus and aperture gears ensure compatibility with a wide range of follow focus and matte box systems. A 77 mm close-up lens is available separately to reduce minimum focus distance and enable macro photography effects.
