The NiSi Athena Prime 18mm T2.2 E-Mount lens is part of a versatile cine lens series offering focal lengths from 14mm ultra-wide angle to 135mm portrait, suitable for a wide range of shooting scenarios. This lens features a T-stop rating of T2.2, ensuring consistent exposure and excellent light transmission.
Optical and Mechanical Features
- Image circle of 46mm, compatible with full-frame and large-format sensors.
- Ultra-low chromatic aberration and micro-contrast control for superior image quality.
- Designed to minimize focus breathing, maintaining a stable field of view when focusing from minimum distance to infinity.
- Focus rotation of 300° with fluorescent focus scales in both imperial and metric units for precise focus pulls.
- Standard 0.8 mod focus and iris gears compatible with follow focus and matte box systems.
- All lenses in the series share similar weight and balance, eliminating the need for gimbal rebalancing when switching lenses.
- 77mm filter thread (except 14mm lens) for compatibility with common filters.
Mount and Filter System
- E-Mount version available without Drop-In filter mount (this model).
- Drop-In filter system available on other mounts (RF, L, G) and E-Mount with filter option; PL mount uses rear filter.
- Weather-sealed Drop-In filter for protection and durability (not applicable for this no filter version).
- Note: Sony FX9 camera is incompatible with E-Mount lenses featuring Drop-In filters.
Additional Compatibility
- Compatible with NiSi 77mm close-up lens (sold separately) to reduce minimum focus distance and enable macro effects.
