NiSi Athena Cine Lenses Series

The NiSi Athena Prime 18mm T2.2 G-Mount lens is part of a versatile cine lens series ranging from 14mm to 135mm focal lengths, covering ultra-wide to portrait perspectives. These lenses are designed for full-frame and large-format sensors, featuring an image circle of 46mm.

Optical Performance

  • Maximum aperture of T2.2 for the 18mm lens, ensuring consistent exposure and soft bokeh.
  • Ultra-low chromatic aberration and micro-contrast control for superior image quality.
  • Minimized focus breathing for stable field of view during focus adjustments.

Mount and Filter System

  • G-Mount version without the Drop-In filter included.
  • Proprietary rear Drop-In filter mount system available on RF, L, and G mounts (not included with this lens).
  • Use of Drop-In clear filters is essential for achieving infinity focus and clear images.
  • Weather-sealed Drop-In filters are available separately from NiSi.

Mechanical and Handling Features

  • Standardized 0.8 mod focus and iris gears compatible with follow focus and matte box systems.
  • Focus rotation of 300° with fluorescent focus scales in both metric and imperial units for precise focusing.
  • All Athena Prime lenses (except 14mm) share the same 77mm filter thread and similar weight, allowing seamless lens changes without rebalancing on gimbals.

Additional Accessories

  • NiSi 77mm close-up lens (sold separately) can be used to reduce minimum focus distance and create macro effects.
