The NiSi Athena Cine Lenses offer a comprehensive selection of focal lengths from 14mm ultra-wide angle to 135mm telephoto, covering a wide range of shooting scenarios from super-wide to portrait perspectives.
- Consistent T-stop ratings ensure precise light transmission and exposure across all lenses.
- Maximum apertures include T1.9 for 25mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, and 85mm lenses; T2.2 for 18mm and 135mm lenses; and T2.4 for the 14mm lens.
- Large 46mm image circle supports full-frame and large-format sensors.
- Available mounts: ARRI PL, Canon RF, Sony E, Panasonic/Leica L, and Fuji G.
- Ultra-low chromatic aberration and enhanced micro-contrast deliver superior image detail.
- Designed to minimize focus breathing, maintaining a consistent field of view during focus adjustments.
Proprietary Rear Filtration System
The Athena Prime 135mm lens features a Drop-In filter mount system for enhanced creative control. Mount-specific filter configurations include:
- RF, L, and G mounts support Drop-In filters.
- Sony E-mount versions are available with and without Drop-In filters; note that Sony FX9 cameras cannot use E-mount lenses with Drop-In filters.
- PL mount utilizes a rear filter system.
Using the appropriate Drop-In clear filter or rear filter is essential to achieve infinity focus and maintain clear image quality. Weather-sealed Drop-In filters are also available for added protection.
Consistent and Convenient Design
- All Athena Prime lenses (except 14mm) share the same weight and 77mm filter thread, enabling easy lens swaps without rebalancing on gimbals.
- Matched aperture and focus rings across the lens range.
- 300° focus rotation with fluorescent focus scales in both imperial and metric units for precise focus pulling.
- Standard 0.8 mod focus and iris gears compatible with common follow focus and matte box systems.
- Optional NiSi 77mm close-up lens (sold separately) reduces minimum focus distance for macro effects.
