NiSi Athena Prime Cine Lens Set Add-On (3 Lenses) PL-Mount
The NiSi Athena Cine Lenses provide a versatile range of focal lengths from 14mm ultra-wide angle to 135mm portrait, covering a wide variety of shooting scenarios and subjects. These prime lenses feature T-stop ratings ensuring consistent exposure, with maximum apertures of T1.9 for 25/35/40/50/85mm lenses for soft bokeh, and T2.2 for 18mm and 135mm lenses. The 14mm lens has a T2.4 rating.
They offer a 46mm image circle, suitable for full-frame and large-format sensors. Available in multiple mounts including ARRI PL, Canon RF, Sony E, Panasonic/Leica L, and Fuji G, these lenses deliver ultra-low chromatic aberration and micro-contrast control for exceptional image quality with fine detail.
The Athena Prime lenses minimize focus breathing, maintaining a nearly constant field of view when focusing from minimum distance to infinity. A proprietary rear filtration system includes a Drop-In filter mount for creative flexibility. Note that Sony FX9 cameras cannot use the E-Mount with Drop-In filters. It is essential to use the Drop-In clear filter on RF, L, G, and E mounts and the rear filter on PL mount to achieve infinity focus and clear images. The Drop-In filter is weather sealed.
All Athena Prime lenses have similar weight, eliminating the need for rebalancing on gimbals when switching lenses. Except for the 14mm lens, all share a 77mm filter thread. Aperture and focus rings are matched across the range, with a 300° focus rotation and fluorescent focus scales in imperial and metric units for precise focus pulls.
Designed for professional use, these lenses feature standard 0.8 mod focus and iris gears compatible with follow focus and matte box systems. A NiSi 77mm close-up lens (sold separately) can be used to reduce minimum focus distance for macro effects.
